Is Friday your Pizza and Beer night?

The north shore of Massachusetts is known for having great roast beef sandwiches while the south shore has their fair share phenomenal bar pizzas. If you are from the south shore you might be very well familiar with popular bar pizzas spots such as Town Spa, Lynwood’s, and Cape Cod CafĂ©. A very well-known spot to locals in Randolph but not to many is Hoey’s Pizza located in Randolph’s Amvets Post 51. In business since 1953, Hoey’s Pizza has delicious specialty pizzas while offering 25 various toppings that make every bite that much more enjoyable.

Amvets Post 51. is an organization created for American veterans which is now open to the public. As soon as you open your car door, the fresh smell of pizza hits your nose. Amvets is a very relaxed atmosphere. The veterans club has a bar and also has a large seating area, which makes it a great place to bring the family. The seating area does not have servers therefore guest have to get their own drinks from the bar and order their pizza from the window right by the front door.

Hoey’s has been making pizza for years. There are two ingredients that I think make this pizza down right delicious. The sauce and pizza dough are what separate Hoey’s from your normal run of the mill pizza joint. The flavorful pizza sauce is a perfect combination with the crispy crust that creates some serious pizza binge eating. One interesting piece that I think makes Hoey’s pizza, is their kitchen is equipped with an older pizza oven. The pizza oven might take longer than a new age pizza oven but the pizza comes out looking like a piece of art. If it is your pizza and beer night, then Amvets is a solid option that leaves you wanting more.
